Private Events

I play weddings, private parties and corporate events in Mayo and further afield, either solo, as a duo, or with a full band.

The music ranges from Irish ballads and traditional material to rock, blues, folk and country. I tend to put my own shape on songs and tunes rather than trying to reproduce the record, while keeping plenty in the set that people know well enough to join in.

A good night depends as much on reading the room as choosing the songs. Some crowds want to listen, some want to sing, some need a little encouragement before they admit they know every word. I’m happiest when the music becomes part of the room rather than something happening at the edge of it.

How it Works

Every event is different, so I don’t work from a fixed package or set list. If there are particular songs, traditions or parts of the evening that matter to you, we can work those into the plan.

Pricing is quoted individually and depends on the line-up, location, playing time and technical requirements.
